Community Engagement

It is important to Xcel Energy that the community has an opportunity to provide feedback throughout the process. In 2023, Xcel Energy held several in-person public meetings as well as a request for comments by Oct. 31, 2023. 

The route options in the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) filed in August 2024 were developed following outreach with communities, community groups and landowners throughout 2023. The outreach included a number of in-person meetings that provided an overview of the project and addressed landowner questions (Click Here to review displays from
the in-person meetings). 

Following the review of the application, the PSCW will schedule public hearings in 2025. Xcel Energy will work with the PSCW to inform landowners and local officials when those hearing are scheduled.

We currently do not have any public meetings scheduled but we encourage you to continue to submit feedback that will assist us in our process as we refine route options.
